Nov. 14 to January 8, 2023, announced
the Ministry of Public Transports. According
to police, there will be over 650

patrols, over 130 motorcycle officers
and more than 20 tow trucks. In
addition, officers count with speed
control radars, alcohol sensors, gas

measure devices, among others. Police are
warning travelers during the beginning
of the high season of tourism to respect
the rules as they’ll be out in full
force. They make the following
recommendations:
As of October, Traffic Police reported 402 deaths caused by traffic accidents. That marks 112 more than the 290 deaths reported in the same period last year.
Last year, more than 300 people died in traffic accidents.
Police call on drivers to respect the law and take precautionary measures to avoid accidents. People can report any case of reckless driving to the 911 emergency line.
