The Monseñor Sanabria Hospital in Puntarenas Province is launching a massive campaign of medical services this week.

According to Social Security, from today until Friday, April 1, the hospital expects 1,500 patients to be attended under the medical specialties of Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics and Neurology.

Hospital workers are in the process of calling people in Puntarenas to include them on the lists of patients to be attending this week. “We are calling as many people as possible from the waiting list for each of the specialties that will be treated during the campaign," Jessica Chacón-López of Social Security said.

People with pending medical appointments at this hospital can obtain more information about the medical campaign by calling 2630-8000.

This is the third medical services campaign launched by Social Security this month. Last week, at the Quepos Beach Catholic Church in Puntarenas, carried out a massive campaign for medical services such as dental care, skincare, general medicine, electrocardiograms among many others.

Also this month, about 300 people in Puntarenas got their eye cataract-removal surgery.

Social Security reported an increase in the scheduling of surgeries throughout the country due to the decrease in attention to covid casesThe decrease in covid-19 patients allows a gradual recovery in the supply of public medical services.
