Super Bowl LIV festival on Sunday

The Costa Rica Football League invites fans to celebrate at the Super Bowl LIV festival that will take place at the Oxigeno Mall, Heredia, at noon Sunday.
The Costa Rican league will celebrate the National Football League championship encounter between The San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, which will take place in Miami, Florida later in the day.
In Costa Rica, in addition to the transmission of the pre-game activities on a giant screen, there will be a demonstration of game techniques such as tackling, passes, and blocks, as well as sales of Costa Rican league souvenirs, food and beer.
Before the big game, there will be a special presentation of the top national teams of the Costa Rican league, which are the Lions, Bulls, Pumas, Jaguars, Vulcans and Pirates.
"This is an activity never seen before and completely free for the whole family enjoyment," said the league in its statement.
After the game will be the official launch of the new uniforms of the Costa Rican team for this season.
Also, there will be the official presentation of the five Costa Rican players who were selected to be part of Team America that will participate in the Flamingo Bowl Feb. 29 in Miami.
Costa Rican players Javier Cañas, Juan Campos, Yefry Arboine, Luis Álvarez and Danny Herrera will play alongside athletes from the American leagues, MIFA Football and Lexfa Arena Football Mexico, among others.
The Costa Rican league will also announce the participation in the next Panamerican Bowl that will take place in May in Ecuador.
In December the Tico football team won the first place trophy at the second edition of the Latin Bowl that took place in Nicaragua.
The final score against team Nicaragua was 29-22. Nicaragua took second place in the tournament.
"In 11 years of practicing this sport we had never had such a united team, and this is the result of this triumph," said the Costa Rican Football League in its statement. "We have given the opportunity to even two minor players who project to future, also; athletes from Liberia and Turrialba which are two new teams in the country were taken into account. ”
The Costa Rican Football league also invited American-style football fans to support and enjoy the National Championship of Professional Teams that will begin in March.
