By the A.M. Costa Rica staff President Carlos Alvarado will travel to Panama on Wednesday to meet Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, President of that country and Luis Abinader Corona, President of the Dominican Republic. Alvarado will be accompanied by Rodolfo Solano, Minister of Public Affairs and Adriana Solano, General Director of Foreign Policy. According to the government, the reason for the trip is to talk about sustainable development, environment, migration, security, health care and international cooperation towards the region. It is a trip of a few hours due to the president and his committee returning to the country that same day. During Alvarado's absence, Marvin Rodríguez, the current vice president, will serve as president. Rodriguez recently traveled with his committee to Qatar.
