As of Dec. 10, Air France will operate five direct flights a week between the Juan Santamarķa International Airport (SJO) in Alajuela Province and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) in Paris, France, announced the Institute of Tourism.
According to Antoine Cros, manager of Air France, passengers will travel in an Airbus 350 aircraft, "the most modern and environmentally efficient aircraft in the Air France fleet."
Flights will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The departures are set from SJO at 8 p.m. Costa Rican time and arrive at CDG at 1 p.m. of the next day France time.
The
flight back to Costa Rica will
leave at 1 p.m. from CDG,
France time, and arrive at SJO
at 6 p.m. of the next day

to institute statistics, as of
September, more than 45,000
French tourists visited Costa
Rica by air. Air
France is one of many airlines
increasing the frequency of
their flights to Costa
Rica. Recently,
Southwest launched more
flights between the U.S. and
Costa Rica. Just
last year, over 1.3 million
