Based in Dublin, Ireland, the tech data firm Experian is expanding its Costa Rican operations at El Cafetal Corporate Center in Heredia.
From its Costa Rican location, Experian provides services to markets including the United States and other countries throughout Latin America and Europe.
“Fourteen years ago, when we arrived in Costa Rica, we were looking to diversify our locations and take advantage of the strengths found in different parts of the world," Minor Monge, Service Delivery Director at Experian Costa Rica, said. "There are multiple factors that made Costa Rica the ideal place for our business: its political and social stability, its proximity to the United States, and the highly educated and bilingual talent of its people.”
The company focuses on credit information and marketing services, such as advising companies on credit risk management, fraud, marketing solutions, and business process outsourcing. It employs more than 1,300 workers in data analysis.
Experian is hiring in Costa Rica. They want people with a background in information technology, including software development, data quality, infrastructure, security, and systems support. In addition, they seek personnel in data analysis, finance, accounting, project management, customer service, and back office. Applicants must have an advanced English proficiency level of 85% or greater. Those interested in a job vacancy should visit the company's Careers site.
According
to the Minister of Foreign Trade,
companies in the Services Sector
such as Experian have experienced a
12% growth in exports over 2020.
These knowledge-based services (KBS)
grew at a rate of 8.4% in 2021 and
allowed us to reach a record figure
of $6.4 billion in exports. Experian
is one of many international
companies hiring in Costa
Rica. Last
week, the Silicon Valley-based
company, CSS Corp announced 200
new customer support vacancies
at its service center in
Heredia. Even
though new businesses are creating
jobs in Costa Rica, the unemployment
rate is 12%, according to the
National Employment Survey. The
survey reveals that, from March to
May, there are approximately more
than 293,000 people without
registered jobs. Of these 162,000
are women, making up 55% of
unemployed people in the country. --------------------
