Aiming to position Costa Rica as the ideal destination to recharge and a natural sanctuary for reconnecting with the essential things in life, many Costa Rican tourism companies are participating in the International Tourism Berlin Fair this week at the Messe Berlín Conference Center, in Germany.
According to the Institute of Tourism, the German trade fair which is considered the world’s largest travel and tourism event will have participants from over 150 countries and over 4,500 exhibitors.
Their motto “Open for change” exemplifies how the industry looks toward the future.
The participating Costa Rican companies include: Amadeus Travel Agency, ARA Tours, Destination Services, Ecole Travel, Travel Excellence, Swiss Travel, Costa Rica Dream Travel Corporation, Localista Travel, Green World Adventures, Imágenes Tropicales, Hover Tours Costa Rica DMC, Aventuras Tierra Verde, Amazilia Travel, Condor Verde Travel, Bella Aventura Costa Rica, Armotours, Costa Rica Trails, Finca Rosa Blanca S.A., Hotel Parador Nature Resort & Spa, Amigo Rent a car Costa Rica, Grupo ANC, EC Rent a car, Adobe Rent a car, Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín, Costa Rent a car, Studio Hotel Boutique, Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge, Pachira Lodge, Hotel Fiesta Resort and Hotel San Bada.
The German fair is one of many strategies by the institute to reach potential tourists. Recently, representatives of Costa Rican tourism companies participated in the Outdoor Adventure Show that was held at the International Center in Toronto, Canada.
The Institute records show in 2022, about 2.3 million tourists visited the country. That is one million more visitors than in 2021.
