“OOH you can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. Ooh, see that girl, watch that scene, digging the dancing queen.”

If these lyrics get you moving, then break out your dancing shoes and be ready to relive the nostalgia of ABBA this weekend at the Melico Salazar Theater in downtown San José.

The "World's Greatest ABBA Tribute Show" is featuring the legendary Swedish pop group Arrival from Sweden, which is one of the world’s most popular and best-selling ABBA tribute bands.

The band will be breaking out of the box and fusing pop and classical elements, giving the audience music richness on a whole new level while capturing the spirit of the pop group, the Arrival band said in their statement.

Founded in 1995, the band is described as the absolute best and most authentic ABBA show there is, with many of ABBA’s hit songs such as “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia” among many more. They have performed and delivered with such accuracy that it’s difficult to believe that it’s not the real ABBA on stage.

The band has toured in 70 countries and appeared on numerous TV stations and radio shows worldwide. Arrival From Sweden has also performed with over 100 symphony orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

ABBA fans will be able to hear familiar elements of the music, with an orchestral enhancement, during the concert. So, get ready to groove to timeless hits such as “Money Money Money” and “Take A Chance” among their popular repertoire.

Two shows, on Friday and Saturday, will start at 8 p.m. Tickets are between $50 to $125 pp and are available on the Eticket website.

Arrival is one of many international bands giving concerts in Costa Rica. The California rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, has announced one concert in Costa Rica to take place at the National Stadium in San José on Oct. 31.
