By the A.M. Costa Rica staff The California rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, has announced one concert in Costa Rica to take place on Oct. 31.
The company SD Concerts, in charge of organizing the show, confirmed that the famous band members Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante, and Chad Smith will be playing at the National Stadium in San José.
The tickets, between $80 and $150 per person, go on sale on April 19 through the band's website.
The band is embarking on the "Unlimited Love" world tour behind their latest release, “Return of the Dream Canteen.” The trek began on March 29 in Canada. In June, the group will head overseas for several headlining shows and festival appearances across Europe. The tour is expected to finish in Argentina in November.
The American rock band was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1983. The band's lineup currently consists of vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist John Frusciante. Over the years, the band has undergone several lineup changes, with Kiedis and Flea being the only constant members.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are known for their fusion of funk, punk, and rock music, and their energetic and often improvisational live performances. They have released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Blood Sugar Sex Magik," "Californication," and "Stadium Arcadium." They have sold over 80 million records worldwide.
Some of the band's more popular songs include "Under the Bridge," "Give It Away," "Scar Tissue," and "Dani California." The Red Hot Chili Peppers have won seven Grammy Awards throughout their career and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
