Soon
drivers will experience a new bridge
crossing over Quebrada
Honda River in
Mora Canton, located in western San
José Province, the Ministry of
Transportation announced.
The old bridge was closed last week by the ministry due to serious failures that put the lives of the people at risk, they said.
Expect traffic delays in the new construction zone. Authorities advise drivers to use alternative routes. The first option is to turn towards Route 209, between the cantons of Acosta and Tabarcia. The second option is to turn towards Route 137, between the cantons of Puriscal and Orotina.
Authorities expect the bridge to be installed by the end of this month.
More infrastructure improvements are taking place in the rural area of the country. In February, the construction of a new dam at Grande de Térraba River in Puntarenas Province broke ground.
Recently, two new bridges were also inaugurated in Puntarenas Province. ------------- What have you heard about sketchy bridges in need of repairs in your community? We would like to know your thoughts on this story. Send your comments to news@amcostarica.com Real
