Glen Miller Orchestra to perform in Costa Rica
By the A.M. Costa Rica staff
The legendary Glen Miller Orchestra will perform two shows at the Melico Salazar Theater* in San Jose, on August 14th and 15th.
Glenn Miller recorded for the first time in April 1935.
"In the Fall of 1944, the band was scheduled to be sent on a six-week tour of Europe and would be stationed in Paris during that time. "Miller, in order to make the proper arrangements for the group's arrival, decided to go ahead," said the Orchestra in its statement. "Then, on December 15th, Glenn Miller boarded a transport plane to Paris and was never seen again."
The new musicians maintain the success of the golden years of swing. The orchestra has traveled the five continents and has more than 200 songs in its repertoire.
Tickets can be purchased on the site Eticket.cr, seat prices are between $40 and $115.
