The San Mateo, California, USA- Headquartered Arkose Labs, a firm focused on bot management and account security, announced the opening of its office in San José Province.

According to the firm, the new location gives the company a strategic entry point from which it can service the broader LATAM market and customers globally.

"This office is a dedicated operations hub for our customer success, product, marketing and sales teams who, ultimately, focus daily on fortifying the online environments our customers create for their consumers," Kevin Gosschalk, Arkose Labs founder and CEO said.

The company expects to hire more than 30 employees in Costa Rica, focused on security operations, customer success, professional services, and business and technical operations. Those interested in applying for a job should visit the firm's Careers site.

The firm also has offices in Australia and the UK.

Arkose Labs is one of many international firms investing in Costa Rica. This week, the Tokyo-headquartered Bridgestone Corp. announced an investment of more than $250 million over the next five years in the expansion of its tire manufacturing site in Heredia Province.

Even though new businesses are creating jobs in Costa Rica, the unemployment rate has increased to 12%, according to the National Employment Survey. The data recorded from July to September, show that there are more than 297,000 people without registered jobs. Of these, 165,000 are women, making up 55% of unemployed people in the country.
