The Delaware-headquartered Delbridge Solutions, a tech firm on data privacy, data engineering & analytics opened a branch in Liberia Canton, Guanacaste.

With this office, Costa Rica becomes the company's first Latin American location; from here, the company intends to expand its services in the region.

“We believe Costa Rica’s stable political system, developed and transparent economy and infrastructure, and excellent higher education system creates a perfect business climate for us to expand into Latin America and support our North American operations," said Leon Kharkhourin, the CEO of Delbridge Solutions.

Delbridge’s office in Costa Rica is located in the Solarium Corporate Center, in Liberia, and represents the company's fourth branch. Currently, they have facilities in Toronto, Canada, the United States and Romania.

The firm is hiring people with a wide range of skill levels, from recent college graduates for junior consulting positions to sales talent for strengthening their business development team. They’re also seeking people to fill technical positions and profiles with experience in software development. Those interested should review available positions at the firm Careers site.

Delbridge Solutions is one of many U.S. companies hiring in Costa Rica. Last week, the Utah-based Smash, a tech company providing support to companies in the United States, announced more than 100 new job openings in its branch located in San José.

Even though new businesses are creating jobs in Costa Rica, the unemployment rate is 13.3%, according to the National Employment Survey. The survey reveals that, from February to April, there are approximately more than 325,000 people without registered jobs. Of these 176,000 are women which is the 54% of unemployed people in the country.
