                                 Due to
                                    the holidays this month and to
                                    improve the flow of vehicles to the
                                    capital for those returning from the
                                    Pacific Coast provinces, Guanacaste
                                    and Puntarenas, highway Route
                                      #27 to
                                    San José will implement reversed
                                    lanes for the rest of the Sundays,
                                    which are the Jan.
                                      8, 15, 22 and 29. According
                                    to the Ministry of Public Transport,
                                    all available lanes between the
                                      traffic police check-post in
                                      Caldera Port in
                                    Puntarenas Province and the
                                      Ciudad Colón toll will
                                    go towards San José, from 2 p.m. to
                                    6 p.m. Closures
                                    will start one hour before the
                                    effective time and end one hour
                                    later, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The
                                    maximum speed allowed will be 37 mph

 Drivers who travel on the opposite way, from San José to the Pacific Coast during the road reverse schedule, must do so by one of the three optional routes:
