KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced new direct flights between Juan Santamarķa International Airport (SJO) in Alajuela Province and the Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR) known as Liberia Airport in Guanacaste Province to Amsterdam International Airport Schiphol (AMS) in Holland.
According to the Tourism Institute, as of May 2023, the Dutch airline will offer direct flights three times a week: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
From Costa Rica to the Holand, the Boeing 777-200 with a capacity of 305 passengers, departs from SJO at noon to LIR, then departs from LIR at 1:50 p.m. Costa Rican time.
From Holland to Costa Rica, flights are set to arrive at SJO at 6 p.m. Costa Rican time.
People

to institute statistics, as of
October, more than 23,000 tourists
from the Netherlands visited Costa
Rica by air. KLM
is one of many airlines that
offers new flights to Costa
Rica. Last
week, the low-cost Colombian
airline, Wingo, announced more
flights between Costa Rica and
Colombia. Just
last year, over 1.3 million
tourists visited Costa Rica.
