The Paralympic athlete Diego Quesada-Arias was recognized by the International Archery Federation as number one in the category of 50 meters distance archery, in America and also the fourth best in the world.
"I'm overly enthusiastic, being among the best in the world and the best in America means that training sessions and international tournaments help me achieve important ranks," said Quesada upon receiving the recognition.
Worldwide, Quesada's ranking is at 95.87 points, behind Matteo Bonacina from Italy with 121.25 points, Jere Forsberg from Finland with 100.25 points and Marcel Pavlik from the Czech Republic with 97.25 points.
The next challenges for Quesada are to compete in the next VII Shooting American Games that will take place in Santiago de Chile in November 2023 and to qualify for the Paris-France 2024 Paralympic Games whose elimination will take place in July in the Czech Republic. In July 2022, Quesada finished in fourth place in the 2022 Nove Mesto European Cup, which took place in the Czech Republic. In 2019, Quesada obtained an eighth place in the Archery Para-athlete World Cup that took place in Dubai, UAE.
