U.S. company that expanded its facilities in
Costa Rica named top great place to work

The index Great Place to Work®, created in 1992, named the U.S. company GEP, a supply chain software and services company that recently expanded its facilities in Costa Rica, as Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises worldwide first place.

The New Jersey-based GEP also has branches in the Czech Republic, Germany, India, Mexico, Romania and the United Kingdom.

The index surveyed more than 100 million employees around the world and used those deep insights to define what makes a great workplace: trust. According to the index firm, the certification is based on validated feedback from thousands of GEP employees gathered through Great Place to Work's rigorous, data-driven methodology, and confirms most employees have a consistently positive experience.

The company was recognized for its programs enabling employees to help address four fundamental challenges such as hunger relief, underserved children's education, female financial independence and the environment, GEP said in its statement.

On Oct. 2020 the company announced open vacancies to its services center located in Lindora Park Free Zone, due to the expansion of its facilities in San José Province.

Among the job opportunities, some positions require no prior experience and will develop functions in the areas of purchasing, provisioning, and supply chain. The company will also hire administrative and operational positions.

Interested personnel must be bilingual in English and Spanish, as they will serve the U.S. market. For some of the positions, Portuguese (as a third language) is also required.
