The Junior Achievement Foundation's “Mujer Digital” program will award full scholarships to 1,400 women in technical training.
According to the foundation, this social project aims to improve women's skills for those who have not been able to get a job. The training has the goal to improve knowledge of technologies so that they can get better jobs.
The training includes subjects such as web development, cloud computing, cybersecurity and coding techniques, among others. After completing the course, the student will obtain a certification and the foundation staff will help them to find a job.
According
to Randall Pacheco, director of
the foundation, the program seeks
to support women who are not
studying and who do not have
stable formal employment. Immigrants
living in Costa Rica can also
apply for the scholarship program. Applicants
should be a woman between the ages
of 17 and 30. Interested
individuals must apply through
an online form on the Digital
Woman program website before
