The Junior Achievement Foundation's “Mujer Digital” program will award full scholarships to 1,400 women in technical training.

According to the foundation, this social project aims to improve women's skills for those who have not been able to get a job. The training has the goal to improve knowledge of technologies so that they can get better jobs.

The training includes subjects such as web development, cloud computing, cybersecurity and coding techniques, among others. After completing the course, the student will obtain a certification and the foundation staff will help them to find a job.

According to Randall Pacheco, director of the foundation, the program seeks to support women who are not studying and who do not have stable formal employment.

Immigrants living in Costa Rica can also apply for the scholarship program.

Applicants should be a woman between the ages of 17 and 30. Interested individuals must apply through an online form on the Digital Woman program website before June 20.
